After a successful bus ride from Moultrie to Rock Eagle, the kids were super excited to meet the Tribal Council, Shawnee Micos, and Counselors. Upon arrival, they were able to have free time before learning new Shawnee chants and cheers! During free time some of the campers went to the Canteen and enjoyed the water slide at the pool. Some just hung out with old friends and even made some new friends! After dinner, the kids went to the pageant grounds for the Monday Night Skit, where they learned the history of Rock Eagle and all about the three tribes that compete for the Tribal Shield (Shawnee, Cherokee, Muskogee)! Then, the campers either went to a fun pool party or danced the rest of the night away with the Shawnee tribe! Below are just SOME of the pictures taken from the first day.. more to come!
